Description: The Graduate Diploma in Program Evaluation is offered in French and in English, as an interdisciplinary program through the collaboration of the Faculty of Education and the School of Psychology in the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Diploma Program aims to offer advanced training in program evaluation to individuals in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. The program is designed to provide students with the necessary competencies to enable them to conduct independent, high quality program evaluations. The core curriculum (12 credits – four courses) includes courses in evaluation theory and contemporary issues, evaluation methods and practice, a practicum, and a capstone integration course where candidates must prepare a major paper. Candidates must also complete an elective course of their choosing as part of the Diploma. This part-time program is normally completed within two years. Both the Faculty of Education and the School of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, offer several evaluation courses in their Master’s/Doctoral programs. The Department of Criminology, also in the Faculty of Social Sciences, offers an evaluation course within its graduate degree programs.
